Iron Ore

Iron Ore is a resource in Medieval Engineers. It is mainly used for crafting tools and mechanical parts, but must be refined into iron ingots with a furnace.

Occurrence

The indicator for an iron deposit is a yellow/red grass texture.

Iron ore occurs in three different variations which can only be found underground.

Poor Yield Regular Yield Rich Yield
1 Iron and 5 Stone 3 Iron and 3 Stone 6 Iron

Gathering

Iron ore will drop in your inventory if mined. Iron ore can be mined by any tool although  Stone Axe and  Pick Axe work best.

Smelting

Iron Ore is smelted using the Furnace. It takes 5 pieces of Iron Ore to create 1 Iron Ingot.
