Iron Ore

Iron Ore is a resource in Medieval Engineers. It is mainly used for crafting tools and mechanical parts, but must be refined into iron ingots with a furnace.

Occurrence

The indicator for an iron deposit is a yellow/red grass texture.

Iron ore occurs in three different variations which can only be found underground.

Poor Yield Regular Yield Rich Yield
1 Iron and 5 Stone 3 Iron and 3 Stone 6 Iron

Gathering

Iron ore will drop in your inventory if mined. Iron ore can be mined by any tool although  Stone Axe and File:PickAxe.png Pickaxe work best.

Smelting

Iron Ore is smelted using the Furnace. It takes 5 pieces of Iron Ore to create 1 Iron Ingot.
