Step 1
First thing you will need for hunting is a crossbow. Gather some resources to craft one.
- Obtain 2 Plank (0/2)
- Obtain 2 Timber (0/2)
- Obtain 5 Wooden Sticks (0/5)
- Obtain 14 Metal Parts (0/14)
Step 2
A Wooden Crossbow is good enough for hunting. Try crafting one and then craft some Crossbow Bolts.
- Craft 1 Wooden Crossbow (0/1)
- Craft 10 Crossbow bolt (0/10)
Step 3
Equip your new crossbow and wait for a bolt to load. Once it loads you are ready to hunt a deer.

Now the hardest part: find a deer and shoot it. 
will zoom in to make it easier to aim. Deer are common tenants of forests, tundras and tropical forests.

Step 5
For working with leather you will need a Tanning Rack. Acquire resources to build one.
- Obtain 12 Plank (0/12)
- Obtain 5 Timber (0/5)
- Obtain 4 Metal Parts (0/4)
Step 6
Now you're able to build a Tanning Rack.
- Place 1 Tanning Rack (0/1)
- Build 1 Tanning Rack (0/1)
Step 7
Put a Deer Pelt into the Tanning Rack's inventory and make a Tanned Leather.
- Craft 1 Tanned Leather (0/1)
Step 8
Use your inventory to craft Leather Strips.
- Craft 1 Leather Strips (0/1)
Step 9
Use a Forge to craft an Iron or Bronze Sword.
- Craft 1 Iron Sword (0/1)
- Craft 1 Bronze Sword (0/1)
